 Today we went out to the river near our camp site and set up game cameras and I hope to see at least a deer in one camera, maybe even a bear. What I hope to gain from this experience is to gain a new found respect for nature and push myself to explore parts of the forest I have never seen before. I expect to do a lot of hiking and I am excited to see the places we are hiking to. We are assigned into groups and we are called the foxes, our group is Juan, Grayson, Salone, Monett, and me. The other groups headed out in the other two vans and we were off to our adventures. We decided to set up our camera traps close to our camp because we wanted to see if there was anything nearby, we heard some stories about bears in area

Blog 8 Sunday- July 14 Today we are heading to take David back home, but first a little hike at the old mill district park. We arrived there at around 9:00 am and there was a river that cut in between the hiking trail. Arrival and Base Camp

Blog 1 07/06/19 Today is the first day of the camping trip and I am unsure of what to expect, I feel like it will be an amazing growing experience. When I first learned about the camp and the time we are going to spend it was two weeks I didn’t understand why it was that long, then last night Jessica was explaining it was for the people who go on the trip to disconnect from the rush at home and I agree. With one week of camping relating to my last camping trip I wanted to go home after one week, maybe with two weeks of camping it will feel like a new experience. A refresher in a busy schedule is important and I believe this will be the break I need from work and home. Road trip

Blog 4 07/09/19 Today was an early start and as usual we started with packing our bags and being in a rush to make breakfast. We needed to collect the game cameras to see if we even got anything, me and Grayson set out to see if we got anything interesting and our first two camera traps were easy to get because they were right next to our camp. The last trail cam was a different story we had to cross the Klickitat River to collect it. We got our waiters to collect the last camera, our co-director for the camping trip Jessica Black was showing us what we collected. I was a little disappointed that we didn’t see anything big. We seen two squirrels in the camera trap next to our campsite so I can’t complain, we seen more than the other groups. After everyone collected their own camera traps we headed for warm springs.
